"Main kaisi lag rahi hoon?" Kavya asked softly, her voice almost a whisper.

Her bright eyes searched his face, waiting—hoping—for an answer.

"Yeh saree tumne kyu pehni hai?" His voice cut through the air, sharp and cold.

"Kya matlab? Aaj hum date par ja rahe hai, toh mujhe sabse achha dikhna tha isiliye... Kitni sundar saree hai na?" she said with a wide, innocent smile.

He suddenly stormed toward her, his hands gripping her arms tightly.

"Tumhe kya lagta hai, yeh saree pehen kar tum Aarohi ki jagah le sakti ho?" he hissed through gritted teeth, his eyes burning with restrained fury.

Kavya froze, fear flickering in her eyes. Her throat went dry, words refusing to come out.

"Arjun, main—"

"Chup... ekdam chup!" he barked, his voice echoing off the walls.

Kavya flinched, her whole body trembling; she had never seen him this angry before.

"Tum Aarohi ki jagah kabhi nahi le sakti... samjhi?" His words were like shards of glass, cold and merciless.

He released her roughly and walked away. Kavya stumbled back, her breath shaky, her heart aching—but she steadied herself, holding her shattered emotions together with trembling hands.

Kavya Mehra, 29 years old, is Arjun’s secretary and now his devoted wife. Cheerful, bubbly, and endlessly patient, she has loved him in silence for six years, ever since he saved her from humiliation at work. Dedicated and professional, her soft smile brightens even the darkest days in his office. She adores Arjun’s son and treats him like her own, and despite knowing that Arjun married only for his child, she chooses to love and care for them both with unwavering devotion. Kavya is kind, strong-willed, empathetic, and quietly brave — the warmth to Arjun’s storm.

Beneath the icy exterior, however, he is kind-hearted, quietly protective, and capable of deep love, though he refuses to let anyone in.
